Weather fronts in this case. Bringing rain to a parched land for over 2 weeks now, and more is on its way. It is being reported that Málaga now has enough water for 2 year’s consumption, but with still less than half the capacity in the main reservoirs, there is plenty of room for more of the wet stuff. I’m crossing fingers for a let up at the end of the month when family come to visit, but other than that, let it pour! What’s more, with the storms rolling in, our dawns and dusks are particularly striking at the moment.

Dog walks of course are non negotiable, even though Billy isn’t a huge fan of getting wet. We have a local park called El Morlaco, with a big enclosed area for dogs to play and socialise. The park forms one side of a hill and is essentially a pine wood with scattered local vegetation on the perimeter. There are a mix of paved paths and tracks, and not a sign of rubbish anywhere. This must be the best kept open space in Málaga. We will be keeping a keen eye out on which birds are nesting there this year. I feel it is high time to get the camera out, although I don’t want to risk it getting soaked.

I am indebted to Tommy Lehner, my 2nd cousin from Atlanta, who has spent some hours tidying up the blog and making sense where I had left caos! Tommy has his own blog and is practised at the art of making web sites, so I hope you like how it is coming along. Cheers Tommy!
